Automative technology briefings and hands on driving experience (Wednesday, 08 September 2010)
You are invited to attend a technology briefing aimed at fleet decision makers and others involved in vehicle management. The event is organised by Bosch and EuroNCAP and supported by RoadSafe.
Each technology briefing will provide professionals with in-depth information and practical experience of the testing required for a vehicle to achieve a 5 star EuroNCAP rating under the new testing scheme.
The next session is 8th September, 10.00 – 14.30 at the MIRA proving ground.

Brake Telematics explained: using technology to improve driver safety (Friday, 17 September 2010)
This seminar is being held at the Tally Ho Police Training Centre, and discusses developments and innovations in traffic offender education programmes, from speed awareness programmes to red-light infringement programmes. Essential for police and road safety partnerships and other practitioners involved in developing road safety education programmes.
PDS Cardiff Event in association with Driving for Better Business (Wednesday, 29 September 2010)
This event is primarily aimed at promoting and raising awareness of work-related road safety amongst the Welsh business community. It will also provide important insight into the legal implications involved when managing work-related road safety. Speakers will include Driving for Better Business champions Tesco.com and BT who will be presenting their case studies.
It will be held at South Wales Police Driver Training Unit, Edward House, Dowlais Road, Ocean Way, Cardiff, CF24 5TW.

Fleet Van Conference - 30th September 2010 (Thursday, 30 September 2010)
The Van Fleet Conference will be held at the National Motor Cycle Museum, near the NEC, Birmingham, on Thursday 30th September.
The event will be solely dedicated to van fleet operators and will help them tackle the challenges that have to be faced when dealing with work-related road safety.
The conference will include case studies from some of the UK's top van fleets and propose new suggestions and the best ideas to cuts costs and deliver efficient transport services.

Brake Tackling Driver Tiredness (Wednesday, 20 October 2010)
This workshop will cover the latest research and guidance for fleet managers on preventing driver tiredness. Fatigue risk management specialists Clockwork Research will outline the extent of the problem, the law and company responsibilities. They will explore the practical ways that companies can tackle driver tiredness through journey planning, employee training and awareness programmes.
SUDDEN DEATH FORUM - ROAD TO RECOVERY CONFERENCE (Tuesday, 02 November 2010)
This conference is a must-attend event for any professional helping families who have been bereaved by a sudden death. Whether through a road crash, as a victim of crime, or through another major incident, sudden death tears families apart. This conference will explore the latest research and advice for providing effective care and support.
Confirmed speakers include:
Deborah Coles, Co-director, INQUEST, will discuss inquests and the rights of the family
Craig Butler, Lyons Davidson Solicitors, will speak about the possible legal implications for families following a bereavement from wills to probate and civil claims
FLO best practice session - hear from experienced FLOs who will discuss their role in supporting bereaved families, what works and what could be improved.

Road Safety GB Annual Conference (Tuesday, 16 November 2010)
Road Safety GB will be holding its annual conference at Chesford Grange, Warwickshire 16-17 November 2010.
Like last year, there will be an exhibition running alongside the conference, which is already virtually fully subscribed.
