IRF side events in Stockholm will include:

Partnerships for Better Road Safety , will take place on the 20th February 2020, Waterfront Congress Centre, Stockholm, Sweden.

February 20, 7:45 am - 8:45 am CET
Room 22, Level 2, Waterfront Congress Centre, Stockholm, Sweden

The importance and need for better road safety data has been widely acknowledged and recently highlighted as a priority in the United Nations, African Union and other multilateral resolutions. So has the need for capacity building in this field. In recent discussions surrounding the creation of a

Regional Road Safety Observatory, governments have further recognised that coordinated efforts are necessary to address the significant need for better data. Building on the concrete experience of the LEARN project, the session will explore opportunities for inter-agency collaboration and multi-stakeholders' partnerships and discuss ways in which to enhance knowledge, skills and actions with regard to road safety data. The session will mark also the launch of the IRF Data Warehouse, a new tool to support data collection, management and data visualisation.

Host: International Road Federation (Geneva)
Co-host: Global Alliance of Road Safety NGOs and Total Foundation

The second, entitled The Road Safety Barometer: decrypting users' behaviour on our roads will take place on February 20th, 7:45 am - 8:45 am CET
Room 23, Level 2, Waterfront Congress Centre, Stockholm, Sweden

Produced since 2011, the Responsible Driving Barometer is an essential information tool for understanding drivers' behaviour, identifying risky behaviour and better orienting preventive messages. Join us to learn about latest results and ways in which to effectively address those behaviours. The sharing of results between the different countries concerned allows a particularly fruitful exchange of experiences and of good practices.

Host: International Road Federation (Geneva)
Co-host: ASECAP (European Association of Tollway Operators) and Fondation Vinci Autoroutes.
