Global Road Safety Week
The second UN Global Road Safety Week will take place from 6th -12th May 2013. It will focus on pedestrian safety, as this group constitutes some of the most vulnerable road users with a high risk of death and injury on the roads.
The aims will be:
- Drawing attention to the need for pedestrian safety.
- Actioning measures that will increase pedestrian road safety.
- Achieving the goal of the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020 to save five million lives.
