RoSPA Road Safety Congress

RoSPA has decided postpone the 76th Road Safety Congress, which was scheduled to be held in Bristol on 14 - 16 February 2011.

RoSPA launched the theme for the Congress – “Road safety in a time of reduced public spending” – in response to a rapidly changing economic situation faced by the UK. Following last week’s government spending review, this theme has become more relevant than ever before.

But in light of increasing financial pressures, especially on local authorities, RoSPA does not believe that it is appropriate to ask delegates to pay to attend a three day congress.

For 2011, Congress will be replaced by a one day seminar on Tuesday 15 February
2010, which will retain the theme of “Road safety in a time of reduced public
spending” and the venue – the Marriott Hotel City Centre, Bristol.
