Penalty Points - International Conference

BESTPOINT Final Conference, 6th of September 2012, Brussels

Is your country planning to implement a penalty point system? Or is it looking to improve the existing one? Then join us at our Conference on the 6th of September 2012 in Brussels. The BESTPOINT project aims to collect, analyse and summarise information about penalty point systems in place in the EU. The results of the work of a consortium, led by the Austrian Road Safety Board (KFV) and involving 12 partners from across the EU, will be presented in a handbook providing guidelines for setting up a penalty point system with a maximum return for effort.

The event will bring together leading practitioners from countries that have implemented successful demerit point systems. Recommendations to national and EU policy makers will be presented to improve existing systems and take up the challenge of making demerit point systems operable across borders.
