Driving for Better Business in Staffordshire

9 July 2012

Following its launch at JCB earlier in the year a successful workshop for employers was recently held in Staffordshire as part of a new partnership between Safer Roads Staffordshire, The Staffordshire Business and Environment Network and Driving for Better Business. Approximately 30 local businesses have joined the network and have agreed to work together to improve their internal programmes for managing those who drive for work.

This event is one of a series of workshops to help businesses to learn from other companies both large and small on how to improve efficiency, cut cost and enhance safety (please note that you do not need to have attended the previous workshops).

The workshop held in Burton-onTrent was run by Darren Lindsey from Michelin and Alsion Moriarty from Enterprise .

Local meetings to share Best Practice will be arranged every few months, under the heading of Driving for Better Business in Staffordshire.  Staffordshire Safer Roads Partnership will keep these businesses updated with their campaigns and assist with any concerns they may have in relation to driver training, writing of bespoke policies and general road safety matters.
