The European Transport Safety Council wins Royal Award

The European Transport Safety Council has won a Prince Michael International Road Safety Award in recognition for its dedication to reducing the numbers of deaths and injuries in transport in Europe. 

The European Transport Safety Council - a European NGO dedicated to improving the safety of all transport modes and was formed in 1993 provides an impartial source of research-based advice on transport safety matters to European governments and institutions.

Its flagship programme: the Road Safety Performance Index (PIN) identifies and promotes good practice by comparing Member States’ performance.

For three years ETSC prepared three thematic reports and associated fact sheets annually covering different road safety at work related topics.  At the of the three year programme, ETSC published a road safety manual bringing together all the gathered research.
