International Congress "Mobility and Road Safety in an Ageing Society"

The Final Programme of the International Congress: Mobility and Road Safety in an Ageing Society, which will be held in Vienna (Plais Ferstel) from June 19th to 20th 2013, and organised by the Austrian Road Safety Board, is now online.

Please note that the Early Bird Registration Deadline is April 30, 2013.

The main topics of the congress are:

• A Holistic View on Ageing
• Mobility Related Characteristics and Incidence of Accident for Elderly People
• Traffic Safety Measures - Technological Responses and Infrastructural Measures
• Policy Responses and International Best Practices 

The congress will focus on future aspects and solutions of mobility and transport versus safety and quality of life in the context of an ageing society.

Prof. Bernd Marin (Director of the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research, Vienna, Austria) is the Keynote-Speaker.

Others include Prof. Mattias Gather (Professor for transport politics and spatial planning, FH Erfurt, Germany), George Yannis (NTUA, Greece), Marjan Hagenzieker (SWOV Institute for Road Safety Research, Leiden, Netherlands) and Inger Marie Bernhoft (Department of Transport Traffic modelling and planning, Technical University of Denmark (to be confirmed).
