Australian Government develops new business programme

23 April 2014

Driving for Better Business has been assisting the Australian Government with the development of a new business programme – The National Road Safety Partnership Programme which our Royal Patron, HRH Prince Michael of Kent will launch in Melbourne on 5th May.

The programme recognises that promoting road safety is everyone’s responsibility and that the business sector has the ability and financial incentive to help reduce their bottom line through improved road safety initiatives.

Organisations which become involved in the programme focus on providing a complete safe environment for their employees. It doesn’t only stop when their employees walk out of the office but also extends to their travel. All elements of safety are central to their successful business operations. Leading business are willing to extend the road safety message to the broader public thereby helping improve awareness of the risk involved, promote solutions and protect their employees.

NRSPP aims to provide the medium which will promote the collaboration and sharing of road safety knowledge, initiatives and risk management between businesses, government and researchers. Its resources are valuable to all not just businesses in Australia.
