Award winning MAST Online celebrates its 5th Birthday

23 September 2014

The multi-award winning MAST Online analytical tool is undergoing an extensive overhaul as it celebrates its 5th Birthday through the implementation of the latest Dundas Dashboard Platform.

MAST Online, which won a Prince Michael International Road Safety Award in 2010, is a powerful yet user-friendly tool for analysing road casualty trends and examining the impact of residence, social and demographic factors on casualty rates. It has been adopted as an essential system by the majority of British highway authorities and is used to plan, develop and evaluate road safety interventions.

The vision for the MAST Dashboard is to combine the existing data structures that lie at the heart of MAST Online with the insight and strategic analysis that forms Road Safety Analysis’s Signpost Series. This will allow members to view performance and progress metrics side-by-side together with specific insight into individual road safety themes.

Richard Owen, Operations Director at Road Safety Analysis said, “We have been working with Dundas extensively already this year to establish the potential for MAST Dashboard and we have been amazed by how quickly we have been able to assemble powerful dashboards. The ability to link to our existing cloud-based data sources has allowed solutions to be rapidly developed with direct integration to our existing data architecture.”
