Blazed & Wasted Evaluation

13 October 2014

Evaluating the benefit of road safety educations schemes, especially in an informal public setting, is rarely carried out. However, in the summer of 2014 Safer Roads Berkshire ran a series of interruption-based events aimed at tackling drink and drug driving which included a full evaluation of the campaign aims.

Based on the risk profiling that was used to underpin the development of the campaign there was a particular focus on drivers up to the age of 25. The results in this age group were very positive with a large majority of those spoken to saying they had learned something and that they would do something to change their behaviour in future.
