Topics at the National Road Safety Conference 2015

The topics session at the 2015 National Road Safety Conference will include presentations on telematics, engaging with young people, and the challenge of realising the motorcycling opportunity.

Simon Rewell, road safety manager with Insure the Box, will discuss the use of telematics technology to influence safer driver behaviour.

Walé Yusuff is the general manager of the SAME (Safety Awareness Mentoring Education) Academy, a driving awareness organisation for new and young motorists. He has represented the UK in the European youth road safety forum and is a member of the United Nations road safety collaboration.

Steve Kenward, chief executive of Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA), will argue that a much larger reduction in casualties among motorcyclists is achievable, but will require a cultural shift among road safety professionals and road planners where motorcycles are concerned.
