Don't get side-swiped

As part of its contribution to National Motorway Month, the Freight Transport Association wants drivers to look out for and take care when passing left-hand control vehicles. Their drivers inevitably run the risk of 'losing' overtaking vehicles, particularly cars, in blind spots on the right-hand side.

"On motorways there is are special problems involving foreign vehicles and the driver's vision. Drivers must take special care when overtaking a foreign vehicle, particularly a truck or coach. National Motorway Month is an idea for August, promoted by the FTA and others to encourage safer driving on motorways.
