DfT calls for van users to shape the industry

3 November 2008

The Department for Transport have announced funding for a brand new pilot programme aimed at operators of vans up to 7.5 tonnes, intended to improve the operational efficiency and reduce the overall environmental impact of vans across the UK.

The DfT are calling for industry professionals to get involved in shaping this brand new van industry programme by taking part in a variety of consultation activities including online surveys, telephone interviews and focus groups, which will be used to help shape the development and content of the final programme.

If you are interested in taking part in the research phase of this programme please visit http://www.aeavanpilot.co.uk/ and complete the on-line survey or alternatively email Robert.S.Anderson@aeat.co.uk for further information.

RoadSafe stronglyencourages those involved with the Driving for Better Business programme to take part in this important piece of reseach and, ultimately, help to enhance the experience of those who drive vans for business purposes.
