Prince Michael Premier International Award goes to Thatcham

11 December 2008

Prince Michael International Road Safety Award for their commitment to whiplash research and the promotion of technologies aimed at reducing the number of accidents on the road.

In announcing the award in London on Tuesday, The Prince stressed the importance of increasing public awareness of technologies such as ESC. He said: ‘The potential of these is vast, but sometimes they are all too slow to penetrate the market. There is a real need to raise public understanding to stimulate markets and to ensure that manufacturers compete to deliver safer vehicles. It is in this area that we found my Premier Award winner which goes this year to Thatcham.
