Hosted jointly by MAKE ROADS SAFE the campaign for global road safety, the UN Economic Commission for Africa, the World Bank Global Road Safety Facility and the Automobile Association of Tanzania.

7 July: High level conference, 'Africa's Decade of Action for Road Safety'.

Opened by HRH Prince Michael of Kent Patron of the Commission for Global Road Safety, and the Government of Tanzania . Presentation by Make Roads Safe campaign Global Ambassador Michelle Yeoh.

8-9 July: United Nations Economic Commission for Africa target setting workshop.

With 'Africa's Decade of Action for Road Safety' as its theme, the conference will provide Africa's main opportunity to debate road injury prevention issues before the first ever global United Nations Ministerial Conference on Road Safety which will be held in Moscow later this year on 19-20 November.
