GRSP's 4th African Road Safety Event 2015
Africa Road Safety 2015 will focus on some of the serious gaps in road safety in countries across the African continent, particularly in the sub-Saharan region. The event will comprise a range of stimulating capacity building workshops, keynote addresses and plenary sessions over two full days.
There will also be opportunities to cast an eye back to the 2014 conference to investigate outcomes from return participants, and an invitation will be cast for participants to pledge on what learnings they will seek to take from the conference and apply in their roles in 2015-2016.
A communications strategy to maintain engagement with pledge-makers will be launched so as to facilitate and encourage reporting on same in 2016.
Key representatives from African countries will attend the seminar, including:
•senior government officials, from road safety, transport, health, police and education
•road safety researchers and experts
•representatives of NGOs working in road safety in the region
•key business representatives with an interest in road safety.
