CTT – Correios de Portugal puts Safety high in its business priorities

CTT – Correios de Portugal (Portugal's Postas Service) has won a Prince Michael International Road Safety Award, reinforcing its position in the Portuguese market as regards the investment in the road safety prevention with sustainability issues in mind.

According to Price Michael, “when projecting the new Road Safety Action Decade, the private sector’s role is of the utmost importance, especially when supervising all those who drive daily at work. Your road safety program, that covers vehicles and teams’ safety, recruitment of drivers, training, control of accidents and the driver’s recognition, meets the highest international standards”.

According to João Bento, CTT’s CEO, “it is with the greatest honor that CTT won such a prestigious award, reflecting all the work that has been developed by our company throughout these last years. This proves that we take our employees’ safety and social responsibility very seriously, as well as all the citizens’ that daily cross the roads with us”.

The Head of this CTT Program’s development and coordination, José Guilherme, emphasizes “the major transformation presented by CTT as regards road safety, with all employees and management levels including road safety in their daily work. This safety culture is promoted and developed on an everyday basis, and it should never be stopped!About CTT:

On December 2020, CTT had 12.234 employees, of which 11.671 in Portugal where they operate  2.384 CTT outlets and 5.000 Payshop agents.
