FIREAID receives Prince Michael Premier Award
The Prince’s Premier Award has been presented to FIRE AID.
FIRE AID is a UK based NGO founded in 2013 as an initiative from EASST with core funding from UK Aid and The FIA Foundation and support from fire equipment suppliers. It acts as a communications hub between member organisations, and between member organisations and donors to supply equipment, materials and funds and to develop best practice guidance for the delivery of emergency services aid.
It is a practical and cost-effective way to transfer equipment and expertise from the UK to improve post-crash response in countries with serious road traffic injury problems and limited resources.
To date FIRE AID has reached over fifty countries and has recruited thirty member organisations.
