According to the second annual 2009 Traffic Safety Culture Index – released by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety – 35% of drivers said they feel less safe than they did five years ago. Overall, the majority of US motorists report that they feel no safer now than they did five years ago. The report can be found in Traffic Technology Today.

The First International Conference on Driver Distraction is taking place from September 28-29 in Gothenburg, Sweden - its organizers, INRETS and SAFER, have just issues a call for registrations.
