Bosch scoops fleet safety award
Robert Bosch Ltd. won the Fleet Safety Initiative of the Year award at the 2010 ACFO (Association of Car Fleet Operators) annual awards dinner. The award was sponsored by IAM Drive & Survive.
Bosch received the award for its ESP® (Electronic Stability Programme) technology with load adaptive control function for light commercial vehicles.
ESP® helps prevent vehicles skidding, and independent studies show it can reduce the number of serious single vehicle accidents by up to 50%. The ESP® valued added function of load adaptive control takes into account the varied load carrying information associated with light commercial vehicles.
David Fulker, Head of UK Chassis Systems Control Marketing at Robert Bosch Ltd. accepted the award at a ceremony in Birmingham.
