Addressing Road Safety in Tanzania: successes and failures

IRF member Tanzania Road Association (TARA) is organising the Annual Roads Convention (ARC 2017) November 16th - 17th at the Karimjee Hall in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The annual forum will serve to exchange knowledge and information on the road transport sub-sector in Tanzania and will also feature an exhibition. Tanzania has had many programs to address road safety and will further discuss and deliberate this issue.

The Convention theme is ``Addressing Road Safety in Tanzania: Successes and Failures``. The convention will cover the following sub-themes:

• Implementing UN decade of Action for Road Safety
• Road Safety Policy, Law / Regulations and Enforcement
• Safety considerations in Design and Construction of Roads
• Public Awareness and Education

Those wishing to present papers at the AR 2017 are invited to send full papers of not more than 12 pages in English by September 22nd, 2017. The papers will be evaluated and authors whose papers will be accepted will be informed by September 29th 2017 and requested to finalize their papers and presentations by October 30th, 2017.
