Alliances to Achieve the UN Global Road Safety Goals

21 March 2024 Washington DC

Please join the FIA Foundation and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health for a discussion on urgent action to meet the road safety targets of the UN Sustainable Development Goals , following the Transforming Transportation conference held at the World Bank Headquarters. Key leaders from the World Health Organization, International Transport Forum, FIA, the Child Health Initiative, and the private sector will share strategies to address the pandemic on wheels.

As we approach the midpoint of the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety, road traffic crashes remain the leading cause of death for those ages 5-29 around the world. Members of the FIA Foundation’s Child Health Initiative will present life-saving efforts that can be scaled across borders.

To meet the goals of the domestic and international strategies, private sector leadership is crucial. Private sector leaders and early adopters of the FIA Safety Index will showcase commitments and discuss ways to engage the sector in saving lives.
