New guide to Vehicle procurement

24 April 2025

Work-related crashes cause a third of global road deaths, making driving one of the biggest risks for employees.

To assist fleet managers in making safer vehicle purchasing decisions, Global NCAP has revised and further developed its FleetSafe guide. It reflects the latest thinking and recommendations on vehicle selection using NCAP ‘five star’ ratings and identifies the most important UN safety standards for passenger cars. Importantly, the guide also now includes recommendations for commercial vehicle categories and motorcycles.

FleetSafe provides practical guidance for organisations on how to select a safer fleet and improve their road safety footprint . The occupational health decisions we make today on vehicle safety will have a lasting life saving legacy for decades to come
