Road Safety Expo 11 & 12 November 2009
A recent study backed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) has shown that road traffic accidents are the main cause of death in all 10-24 year olds. These startling figures reflect the need for a fundamental shift in the way road safety is managed today.
RoadSafe is among many organisations which supports a systematic approach to road safety management where emphasis needs to be put on providing safe roads and safe vehicles to cope with drivers who themselves are often ‘the weakest link’. Now in it’s third successful year, Road Safety Expo 2009 will explore how the ‘Safe System, can now be applied. Key speakers include Edmund King , President The AA and Paul Everitt who will show how today’s vehicles can themselves avoid crashes.
This Expo comes at a most important time on the eve of the first global transport ministers’ conference where there will be a call for a decade of action to save five million lives across the world – with Britain aiming to be the best in the World, all professionals will need to be there to hear what technology can do to achieve this important goal and to learn about some of the world’s most innovative interventions’.
Road Safety Expo 09 will form a crucial cornerstone in the understanding and improvement of contemporary road safety. Delegates will gain real knowledge and proven experience all the while making meaningful contacts in the industry.
