Road Safety Audit

From June 2010 delegates attending the 10 day RoSPA/TMS Road Safety Engineering course will be able to gain such a Certificate of Competence.

A Road Safety Audit (RSA) electronic checklist is available from CHIT  - it can be downloaded for specific schemes. It also gives typical collision types for a variety of schemes, documents required by the safety auditor, a feedback facility and useful links to other RSA related sites.

In addition Audit Guidelines has been produced by CHITfollowing two recent initiatives in road safety and related fields. The revised UK Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) Road Safety Audit Standard HD 19/03 was produced in 2003, and the Manual for Streets (MfS) was produced in 2007. Both documents have significant consequences for Road Safety Audit.
