The Road Safety Fund and Save the Children

3 July 2012

The Road Safety Fund and Save the Children USA have agreed to work together to combat global child road traffic injuries.

Save the Children has become a partner of the Fund, as part of its increased efforts to address the global epidemic of child death and injury on the world's roads, which sees more than 260,000 children killed every year. The two organisations plan to cooperate on awareness raising amongst the NGO and development communities, and to work together to seek new donor support for road injury prevention initiatives targeting child safety during the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety.
