Thailand Accident Research Center (TARC)

1 November 2006

TARC is the pioneer road accident research centre in Thailand. Recognizing the urgent needs to build up accident knowledge and research base for Thailand, the Thailand road safety master plan identified the need for establishing an accident research center as a priority in its long-term action plan. The idea became a reality with the establishment of TARC in 2003. This is the national centre for collecting scientific information about the road crash. It conducts accident investigation and reconstruction, road safety audit, research studies both on primary and secondary accident data. Moreover, it contributes in capacity building through trainings, seminars, publications and postgraduate programs both in national and international arena.  www.tarc.or.th
