NGOs marshal to increase influence

31 March 2022

In a Declaration published during its recent Global Meeting held in Budapest the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety has set out a call to action for governments countries to commit to act for people’s right to safe mobility and a 50% reduction in road deaths and injuries by 2030. The Declaration will support NGOs’ efforts to mobilize their decision makers to commit to road safety actions that will save lives

It has also published its 2021 Annual Report. This showcases how NGOs are influencing road safety action in their countries at city, provincial, and national levels, while also using their joint voice to bring their unique perspective to the global road safety agenda. Highlights include the UN Global Road Safety Week Streets for Life #Love30 campaign and the launch of the Global Plan for the Decade of Action.
