Its principal work is to develop the skills and capability of emergency workers responding to post-crash incidents. An effective tool in achieving this, at significantly low costs, is the <a href=\"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvX4fWJrPGo&feature=youtu.be\">Challenge Concept and World Rescue Challenge (WRC).</a> The Challenge Concept encourages responders embrace this type of training. The Challenge event has taken place in fifteen countries and sees seventy-two teams from around the world compete each year.<br />\r\n<br />\r\nThe <a href=\"https://www.wrescue.org/\">WRO aims to provide a platform for rescue/medical personnel from around the world to share and advance rescue science and technology, and promote a safe system </a> of work by means of:</p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>The sharing of skills and knowledge is unique, as both statutory and volunteer organisations are involved. The WRO through its membership base has members from diverse areas of expertise.</li>\r\n\t<li>Introduction and maintenance of an industry standard for dealing with Post Crash incidents on a global basis.</li>\r\n\t<li>The development of enhanced proficiency in rescue techniques, incident management and medical care.</li>\r\n\t<li>Introduction of multi-agency casualty centered approach to post-crash incidents under pillar 5.</li>\r\n\t<li>Development of partnerships at national/international levels</li>\r\n\t<li>To recognise and respond to the United Nations, Resolution 74/299 and contribute to Strategic Development Goals target 3.6 to reduce road traffic deaths and injuries by 50% by 2030, through the implementation of safe systems in post-crash intervention and care.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n", "Commendation" : false } }
