YDF 2020 delivered as virtual conference

Organisers of the postponed Young Driver Focus have teamed up with some of the event’s speakers to highlight the latest developments in the young driver road safety sector.

The 2020 edition of Young Driver Focus, jointly organised by FirstCar, Road Safety GB and the RAC Foundation, was originally due to be staged at the RAC Club in London on 19th May, with the theme ‘Technology Matters’.

However, due to Covid-19, the decision was made to postpone the conference until 14th April 2021.

To ensure focus on young driver road safety ‘won’t be diverted’, FirstCar has published a series of presentations and video calls – with some of the planned speakers – covering how the pandemic has impacted their work.

Speakers include:

• Chris Lewis, Warwickshire PCC
• Alan Kennedy, Road Safety GB 
• Dr Jessica Hafetz Mirman, University of Edinburgh
• Elizabeth Box, RAC Foundation
