Dubai World Congress: For Self-Driving Transport

The RTA, would like to invite you to the Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport, which will take place in the Za’abeel Halls at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre between the 14th and 15th October 2019

The Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport is part of the RTA’s efforts to support the Dubai Self-Driving Transport Strategy launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and is in cooperation with Universities and Private and Public sector partners who have helped make the launch of this initiative possible.

The agenda and keynote speakers will be announced soon and will focus on 5 Key Pillars:

• Enabling Connectivity: Exploring how smart technologies enable connectivity through examples like HD mapping, connected cloud, cybersecurity and infrastructure technology
• User-Focussed Topics: Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport will look at the impact on human factors such as user and behavioural uptake and acceptance
• Policy & Legislation: Supporting the establishment of policy and legislation, the Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport will investigate the legal aspects, liability and licensing strategies from around the world
• Trials Testbeds: International case-studies and early pioneers will provide examples of trails and testbeds that can be replicated, and lessons learned from those that have gone before them
• Virtual Testing & Models: Not just a conference with presentations. The Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport will showcase the latest virtual testing and models through simulators and simulations, artificial intelligence, new methods of computation and data assessment and planning analysis
