Global Ministerial Conference - Open Letter
The 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, set for February 17-20, 2025, in Marrakech, Morocco, it will bring together global leaders, policymakers, and road safety advocates to address the urgent need for safer roads worldwide. This conference aims to advance commitments from the Global Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030, focusing on halving road traffic deaths and injuries by 2030. YOURS is asking organisations to sign an open letter calling on global leaders to:
- Prioritize road safety funding at national and international levels.
- Implement evidence-based interventions, including infrastructure improvements, speed management, and enhanced protection for pedestrians and cyclists.
- Engage civil society, especially youth, road victims, and NGOs, to ensure diverse voices are included in road safety decisions.
- Commit to specific, measurable actions to be presented at the upcoming 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety in Marrakech, Morocco.
