LRSC conference 2017

A number of speakers and topics are now confirmed for the London Road Safety Council’s (LRSC) centenary conference which takes place in January 2017

The event is sponsored by RedSpeed International and supported by a host of road safety stakeholders including Road Safety GB, TfL, THINK!, City of London Corporation, PACTS, RoSPA, Road Safety Scotland, Road Safety Wales and IAM RoadSmart.

Confirmed speakers and topics include:

Keith Prince, from the London Assembly Transport Committee, who will discuss motorcycle safety in London

Richard Cuerden, chief scientist at TRL who will deliver a progress report on the various ‘driverless cars’ trials taking place around the UK

Jane Robinson and Nicola Newman from Atkins, who will brief delegates on the 20mph study they are conducting on behalf of the DfT

Phil Jones, who will give an overview of new ‘shared space’ guidance currently being prepared by the CIHT

More than 90 people have already registered to attend the event which takes place at the Guildhall in the City of London on 24th January 2017.

The conference will be followed by an early evening reception which conference delegates are also invited to attend. The reception will include an address by James Cracknell, LRSC president, who took part in the Question Time session at the 2015 National Road Safety Conference.
