National Road Safety Conference 2015

The event is being hosted by Road Safety GB East Midlands Region and will be held at The East Midlands Conference Centre on 18th -19th November 2015. The event is being promoted to more than 200 local authority road safety teams, police forces, fire & rescue services and government departments and other road safety stakeholder organisations.

As in previous years, the conference will comprise three sessions on the afternoon of Wednesday 18th November, and the morning and afternoon of Thursday 19th November.

The main conference agenda will comprise the following sessions:

• A series of presentations from national road safety stakeholders (including Road Safety GB, DfT, NPCC, CFOA and Highways England) outlining their priorities and strategy for the next 12-24 months.]

• A series of presentations from senior road safety professionals (team leaders/heads of unit) explaining how they have adapted the way they deliver road safety services against a backdrop of shrinking resources and finances.

• A series of presentations covering topics relating to fitness to drive.

• A series of presentations looking at innovations and interventions to improve the safety of cyclists.

• A 'Question Time' session and a ‘Topical Topics’ session.

• As last year, in addition to the main programme there will also be a fringe programme covering a wide range of topics.
