New: iRAP Star Rating for Designs Webinar Series
This course will empower road safety practitioners to use the iRAP Star Rating for Designs (SR4D) web app to assess designs and help make roads safe before they are built.
The SR4D web app plays a critical part in achieving the United Nations Global Road Safety Performance Targets, particularly Target 3: By 2030, all new roads achieve technical standards for all road users that take into account road safety or meet a three-star rating or better.
The course covers the following topics:
- Introduction to iRAP, the global context for safe designs and the ‘safe system’.
- Using the SR4D web app to Star Rate a design.
- Estimating the change in fatalities and serious injuries because of a design.
- Developing an Investment Plan to improve the safety of a design.
The sessions will be held on 9th, 11th, 16th and 18th July at 5PM AEST (Sydney, Australia time). The videos will be available after the sessions for all paid registrations that were not able to attend the webinar sessions.
