New road safety education programme for primary schools
Shropshire Council’s sustainable travel team has launched ‘ Our Journey ’ – an engaging new virtual road safety education programme for primary schools across the county.
Designed to empower students with essential safety skills for independent and sustainable travel, the programme combines creativity, technology, and local collaboration to make road safety education more accessible and fun than ever.
Delivered entirely online, ‘Our Journey’ makes road safety education available to schools across Shropshire. This approach ensures accessibility for all primary schools, regardless of location, while providing a flexible and interactive learning experience. The programme covers essential topics such as safe walking practices, scooter safety, and how to recognize and respond to potential hazards on the journey to school.
