European Road Safety Day: Safe and smart infrastructure - Zappeion conference centre, Athens, 9th May 2014, 09:00-15:30

The European Commission, in cooperation with the Greek EU Presidency, is hosting the European Road Safety Day in Athens on 9th May 2014. This one-day conference, centred around the headline theme ‘Safe and smart infrastructure’, will bring together road safety experts, stakeholders and decision-makers and give them the opportunity to share their knowledge and discuss ways to continue improving European road safety.

The conference programme includes two round table discussions on infrastructure challenges and on technological solutions respectively. There will also be the opportunity to visit information stands where leading European road safety organisations will present their work.

Registration for the conference is open to any individual interested in discussing road safety, but only applicants whose registration is accepted and confirmed in advance will be admitted to the conference. Seats are limited and priority will be given to those who register early. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry for security reasons.

Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English and in Greek.
