House of Commons petition launched
UK MPs have launched a House of Commons petition in support of the Make Roads Safe recommendations, calling for an action plan for global road safety; inclusion of road safety in the G8 and at least £2 million a year funding for global road safety from the UK Government. The ‘Early Day Motion’ was tabled by Labour MP Richard Burden and is supported by a cross party group of MPs. If you are a UK resident you can write or e-mail your MP to call on them to sign EDM 2358 and support the Make Roads Safe campaign.
