NGO Alliance provides support and training

26 January 2021

Prince Michael International Road Safety Award winner The Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety provides a wide range of support.

The Alliance is a network of NGOs that implement programes and lobby for road safety initiatives around the world. Members are often set up by everyday citizens responding to needs they see around them. NGOs can fill government gaps by providing immediate solutions, or they can influence decision making through advocacy and education.

All NGOs are encouraged to join the Alliance as it provides many opportunities for developing programmes and enhancing knowledge.

One such programmes is The Alliance Incubator -  designed to accelerate the growth and role of serious and ambitious road safety NGOs through an array of support resources and services that could include small grants, coaching and networking connections. The Alliance Incubator is being piloted in 2021.

Members are encouraged to use the Alliance Incubator to support NGOs growth and to deliver effective and efficient road safety interventions that aim at contributing to the halving the number of deaths and serious injuries by 2030.
