Safety Challenges in Road Vehicle Automation

The 2023 ETSC Herman De Croo Road Safety Lecture will be given by Oliver Carsten, Professor of Transport Safety at the Institute for Transport Studies at the University of Leeds, on the subject of safety challenges in road vehicle automation.

The Herman De Croo lecture is given in honour of Belgian Minister of State, Professor Herman De Croo, the President of the board of the European Transport Safety Council since 1993 when the organisation was founded. Professor De Croo has announced that he will step down from the role at the end of 2023, his 30th year in the post.

This event will also mark the 30th anniversary of the European Transport Safety Council, and will include a drinks reception.
