Southern African Transport Conference

The Southern African Transport Conference will take place from the 8th - 11th July 2019 in Pretoria, South Africa.

The International Road Federation is pleased to join hands with the South African Department of Transport and the American Transportation Research Board (TRB) to support the 38th annual Southern African Transport Conference (SATC 2019) to be held from 8 to 11 July 2019 at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria, South Africa.

With the theme "Disruptive Transport Technologies – Is South and southern Africa ready?", the conference will engage all stakeholders involved in the transport sector on how to provide optimal, effective and efficient transportation solutions to improve service delivery in order to better respond as a sector, to the needs of all users of our transport systems.

Better cooperation between, and engagement of, all public and private sector stakeholders will be one of the key issues that will be debated and for which solutions will be sought and action plans formulated. A special session will be arranged to discuss and debate critical policy issues related to the theme of the conference.
