Driving for Work, what's the risk?
This week the Scottish Occupational Road Safety Alliance (ScORSA) will be holding a free seminar aimed at equipping those who drive for work to be safer on the road.
The event, Driving for Work, what’s the risk?, will take place at the Jurys Inn, Guild Street, and is being run in partnership with RoSPA Awards Excellence Forum and Women in Health and Safety. As well as hosting a number of high-profile speakers, it will give those who drive for work or who work in transportation services an opportunity to network and exchange knowledge.
The keynote speaker at the seminar will be Bertrand Deiss, head of road safety policy at Transport Scotland. He will provide an update on Scotland’s emerging Road Safety Framework to 2030. Attendees at the ScORSA event will also be hearing from Wes Boulstridge, fire safety adviser at University of Strathclyde, and Julie Smith, area communications officer, north safety camera unit who will give a presentation about the work of the Safety Camera Partnership which is part of Police Scotland.
