The Safe System Approach: Managing for Better Road Safety Results

This short course has been designed to engage decision-makers and practitioners who are taking road safety forward at national and local levels. It explains the scientific basis of Safe System, key strategic and design aspects and its alignment with a range of societal objectives.

The aim of this two-day course is to provide attendees with a broad introduction to Safe System road safety management and a window on implementation experience and guidance in a range of settings. At the end of Day 2 attendees should be able to understand the scope of Safe System in their day-to-day road safety activity and options for building  on their current approaches and practice.
