Decade of Action for Road Safety - The UK Contribution

The London conference to mark the launch of the Decade of Action for Road Safety will bring together all the leading road safety organisations in The United Kingdom, each making a commitment to support the decade.

In addition to an address from Lord Lord Robertson of Port Ellen, Chair Commission for Road Safety, the Secretary of State for Transport, Philip Hammond MP, Secretary of State for Transport is expected to make an announcement concerning the Government’s strategic framework for Road Safety.

Other speakers will show how new thinking and innovation will deliver the objectives of the five pillars of action which form the basis for the global plan of action.

Other events on that day will include further political endorsement for the Decade, parliamentary questions and the decade tag displayed in Trafalgar Square.

The event is being organised by PACTS with support from RoadSafe and The FIA Foundation, working in collaboration with many other road safety organisations.
