Ghana Workshop a success

As reported last month,  Nestlé, Zurich and Interactive Driving Systems, with support from Activa, the Fleet Forum and the Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP), recently organised a two day interactive stakeholder workshop on work-related road safety in Ghana. The workshop was a first class example of how to share good practice. It created an open, honest, 'sales-free' forum where participants could share good practice processes and outcomes. It also laid the foundations for developing long term sustainable programs for work-related road safety policy and practice. It created a shared vision with sustainable short, medium & long term goals. It also provided an excellent networking forum for all stakeholders thus allowing good practices to filter into the wider community.

Participants represented the following organisations: Activa International Insurance, CFAO Motors, Cummins Africa, DHL Supply Chain, DVLA Ghana, Fleet Forum, Ghana Private Road Transport Union, Ghana Red Cross, GRSP, GRSP Ghana, Interactive Driving Systems, National Road Safety Commission, Nestlé Central and West Africa Region (CWAR), Nestlé Group, Nestlé Pakistan, North Star Alliance, Pfizer, Shell Petroleum Development Company, Telsis, Total, Unilever, Vodafone Ghana, Vodafone Group, World Bank and Zurich.
