Resources for Global Road Safety Week

22 April 2015

To support Global Road Safety Week, Road Safety GB has launched a series of resources and will host webinars for road safety professionals.

UK road safety professionals are keen to work with others across the world to learn from each other, and share and discuss the issues and challenges they face in terms of making children safer on the roads and reducing child road casualties. To facilitate this, RSGB has established a database of practitioners with specific skills and expertise in child road safety.

Child road safety resources (free to download) include an activity sheet, maps and county profilers created as part of the Safer Steps project  and Children's Traffic Club resources courtesy of Ten Alps Communicate.

Resources for educators  - a series of simple step-by-step guides to help deliver road safety education on topics including children as pedestrians, children as cyclists, children in cars, children on public transport and peer-to-peer education.

Discussion forums during the week include: children, setting up a Junior Road Safety Officer scheme and cycling.
