Road Collision Investigation Project

27 November 2018

Story from the RAC Foundation

The RAC Foundation has been making progress on the Department for Transport sponsored Road Collision Investigation Project.

The project will span several years and involve the co-operation of up to three police forces to share data beyond the fields already captured on the Stats 19 returns to enable deeper dives into the complex causes of, and consequences of, road crashes.

The constabularies that will be involved, and the resource they will be allocated from the £480,000 DfT project grant, should be finalized by early in the new year.
