Royal award for Moroccan National Road Safety Agency (NARSA)

16 December 2024

Royal award for the Moroccan National Road Safety Agency (NARSA) as they introduce vehicles equipped with the latest safety technologies.

The road transport Fleet Renewal Program aims to modernize the fleet of vehicles used in various transport sectors by offering incentive premiums to companies to encourage them to remove outdated vehicles from circulation and replace them with newer, safer, and more environmentally friendly ones. This applies to vehicles used for public passenger transport services, public transport in rural areas, freight transport, towing services, and driving instruction.

The program aims to modernize the road transport fleet by introducing vehicles equipped with the latest safety technologies, while replacing the most polluting models with eco-friendly alternatives to reduce harmful emissions and enhancing the quality and reliability of transport services. The new renewal program, scheduled for 2024, commits to reducing road accidents related to professional transport with ambitious goals: a 15% decrease by 2025, 25% by 2026, and 50% by 2030.
