SAFETYcam and Highways England receive prestigious award.

10 December 2019

Carnell and Highways England have been presented with a Prince Michael International Road Safety Award in London.

SAFETYCam and the Red X Programme continue to inspire and provide safety innovation, creating a safer environment for road users.

Based on ANPR evidence the Red X  programme has issued over 70,000 warning letters. It also uses referrals to the National Motorway Awareness Course and direct contact with business owners whose drivers offend. A digital compliance monitoring tool has shown that non-compliance has improved, creating a safer environment for those using and working on smart motorways.
